For over twenty years Walkabout has been creating original live performances across the city of Chicago and beyond. Persistently process-oriented, Walkabout’s performances have been acclaimed for their physical daring, virtuosic vocal scores, surreal imagery, and complex narrative forms. Walkabout is distinguished by a deep investment in its collective creative practice, in the personal and artistic development of its members, and in the cultural and artistic advancement of ensemble co-creation.
Goats Amba and Rudy have been collaborating with Walkabout since 2012, coming together every summer for intensive rehearsals and laboratory style research.
As of 2021 both Amba and Rudy have become full fledged company members, as they seek to find new ways to collaborate remotely.

The Shakespeare Ensemble is an international collective of multi-disciplinary artists. We spend our time adapting rehearsal methods from Shakespeare’s time to raise our shows in 3-5 days. We seek to engage with communities and audiences – regardless of language – with urgency, immediacy, and energy. Our fuel is reworked and reimagined methods Shakespeare’s actors used, to make simple, powerful theatre. We think vibrant, dynamic storytelling is this: actors speaking passionately, playing in a great space, with a listening audience.
Goats Amba and Rudy have been collaborating with The Shakespeare Ensemble since 2010.
Over the years they have been involved in various productions including the What You Will, The Dreame Project, Pericles, Henry V, as well as numerous trainings and workshops.
